  • Jennifer Kromberg, Psy.D.

    Dr. Kromberg, our family consultant, has over 15 years experience working in the eating disorders field. She has private offices in Beverly Hills and Torrance, where she specializes in working with family members of those struggling with eating disorders. In addition, she has worked and consulted with several Eating Disorders Treatment Centers including Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorders Program at Wright Institute, Los Angeles, The Bella Vita, and Oceanaire. Dr. Kromberg received her undergraduate degree at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and her Masters and Doctorate degrees at California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles (CSPP-LA).
  • Tejinderpal Rai, M.D.

    Dr. Tejinderpal “T.J.” Rai is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology to provide psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults. He obtained advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, including specific experience with eating disorders patients. Dr. Rai has been in private practice in Torrance since 2002, and is a consultant for Torrance Memorial Medical Center’s Medical Stabilization Program for Patients with Eating Disorders.
  • Mini Mehra, M.D.

    Dr. Mehra joined the Eating Disorders Associates team in 2009 as our consulting gastroenterologist. She assists many of our patients who have gastrointestinal complications related to their eating disorders. Consultation with Dr. Mehra is also helpful when a patient has unexplained weight loss,  abdominal pain, and/or inability to eat that may be due to a cause other than an eating disorder. In addition to her private practice in Torrance, Dr. Mehra has been on faculty at the UCLA Medical Center for over 15 years, where she currently holds the title of Associate Professor. Dr. Mehra is also an attending physician at Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, and at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. 
  • Jill Maroney

    Jill Maroney has always enjoyed working with teenagers and young adults; before joining Dr. Schack’s practice she worked as a library assistant at West High School in Torrance. Jill has been very active in the community; she served on the Torrance PTA executive board, and as Vice President and Adult Leader for the Torrance Sister City Association. She has also raised two daughters, who are now young adults. As Dr. Schack’s office manager, she sets up appointments and handles all business matters for Dr. Schack’s patients. Jill also schedules treatment team meetings with families, and she is the intake coordinator for the Medical Stabilization Program at Torrance Memorial.
